She started her carrer in France working on the X ray. She integrates the famous King’s college and maked her major discovery there. She used X ray to build up a detailed picture of the structure of the DNA. In biology at the begining of the year we learned that Watson, Wilkins and Crick discovered the double helix and get a Noble Price in 1962. In fact those three men stole the picture of Franklin, the 3 men and Rosalind arrived at the same time at the same conclusion but the men took all the glory, they took her work as confirmation of the discovery while they couln’d success without the stolen pictures. This is a perfect exemple of the Mathilda efect and we thaught that people should know this story. Rosalind Franklin died in the shadow of cancer du to her X ray exposition.
